	*Past Events* US National Dance Championship Competitions *September 8-12, 2009* Paramount Ballroom Showcase of Stars *August 27, 2009* Coaching with Tommy DiTomasso *June 19, 2009* Description: Paramount Ballroom's students were coached by US Amateur Youth Champion Tommy DiTomasso. Millenium Dance-Sport Competition *June 26-27, 2009* Description: Paramount Ballroom's students competed in the annuel Millenium Dance-Sport Competition in St. Petersburg. The Heritage Classic March 3-7, 2009 Description: Set among the invigorating Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, North Carolina, ballroom dancers of all ages competed to see who would be the top studios, students, and teachers. The Naples Classic January 30-31, 2009 Description: The 2009 Florida Classic Series was held at the Hilton Naples and Towers in Naples, Florida. Competitors of all ages showed off their ballroom skills, and the professional show featured Canadian Latin and World Latin Showdance Champions Andre and Natalie Paramonov. Dance Heat USA *January 11, 2009* Description: In this Boynton Beach, Florida tournament, Paramount Ballroom cleaned up the competition, winning the Top Studio Award among others. Our Awards: Top Studio: Paramount Ballroom Top Teacher: Alec Lazo 1st Place Latin Division: Vincent Cestone 1st Place Latin Division: Kathleen Speh 1st Place Jr. Latin Division: Ashley Sanchez 2nd Place Standard Division: Vincent Cestone and Elena Simonova 3rd Place Standard Division: Linda Butcher 3rd Place Championship: Annette Blick Grand National Championships October 30-November 3, 2008 Description: In a celebration of style and elegance, The Miami Beach Resort and Spa hosted the Pro-AM and Amateur Ballroom Dance Championships in Miami Beach, Florida. Top professional adjudicators and judges from across the globe weighed in on this three-day competition in which Paramount Students Patricia Transue and Linda Butcher competed alongside Paramount Ballroom Owner Alec Lazo. DVIDA National Championship *October 16-19 2008* Description: This competition/training camp was held in the wonderful Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa, and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Paramount students attended the unique training session in which students and pros were treated to some of the biggest names in the ballroom dance world. Paramount Ballroom Owner Alec Lazo judged the competition, and Paramount's own Vincent Cestone and Elena Simonova won top honors in his division.
